REUSABLE BOXES SAVE STOCK CLERKS’ TIME
To improve costly and inefficient processes and reduce the retail labor burden with restocking store freezer wells, Technology Container Corp. (TCC) offers a high-speed, reusable box-like “cartridge” for transporting and stocking frozen product.

The corrugated polypropylene, open-top cartridge replaces the conventional corrugated cardboard shipper box and can be reused hundreds of times. It is the perfect restocking solution for fast-moving products such as frozen peas, French fries and other frozen vegetables that are typically merchandised in a store’s freezer wells.

Trials of the cartridges have revealed that the time required to restock a single section of the freezer—which once averaged 45 minutes—is now only 5 minutes.

FASTER PACKAGING
The cartridges feature an easy-fold bottom, which makes them quick and easy to both assemble and flatten. No tape is required! Frozen product is simply packed directly into the open-top cartridges, which are then individually shrink-wrapped.

GREATER STOCKING EASE
Retail associates who are restocking the freezers need only to remove the shrink wrap and replace the empty cartridges in the freezers with the new ones full of product. Instead of dealing with the labor-intensive task of loading only a few individual bags of product at a time from the box to the freezer, stockers can simply drop in the full cartridges of product. As a result, busy supermarkets can keep up with daily restocking needs while making efficient use of labor.
